1. EdgeQuery is a research and analytics technology platform
EdgeQuery provides software-assisted research and analytical tools designed to help users examine trading systems, backtests, historical performance data, market behavior and related quantitative information.
EdgeQuery may identify patterns, relationships, weaknesses, regime dependencies, statistical characteristics, areas of uncertainty and potential subjects for further research.
EdgeQuery is not a broker, broker-dealer, futures commission merchant, exchange, clearing firm, bank, custodian or money manager.
Through the EdgeQuery IQ Service, EdgeQuery does not:
- place, execute, route or manage trades;
- access or control customer brokerage accounts;
- take custody of customer funds or securities;
- allocate customer capital;
- manage a portfolio on a customer's behalf;
- guarantee the performance of any trading system;
- provide a managed account;
- provide copy trading; or
- provide trade signals directing a user to enter or exit a particular transaction.
You are purchasing access to research, analytical technology and related software functionality—not a financial product, managed account, trading system or guaranteed investment outcome.
2. No financial, investment or trading advice
Information produced by EdgeQuery is provided for research, analytical, educational and informational purposes. Nothing contained in an EdgeQuery report, EdgeQuery IQ response, email, website page, chart, score, classification, research observation or other output should be construed as personalized financial, investment, commodity trading, legal, tax or accounting advice.
EdgeQuery outputs are not an offer, solicitation, recommendation or instruction to buy, sell, hold or trade any security, futures contract, option, cryptocurrency, currency, commodity, derivative or other financial instrument.
Statements such as “what we would test next,” “potential improvement,” “possible regime filter,” “higher-quality setup,” “risk area,” “research opportunity,” “potential edge,” or similar analytical observations describe research hypotheses, not instructions to place a trade.
You are responsible for independently evaluating any EdgeQuery output before using it in research, development, simulation, paper trading or live trading.
3. User-supplied strategies and data
EdgeQuery analyzes information supplied or authorized by its users and Intelligence Partners. This may include backtest files, trade histories, strategy outputs, market data, spreadsheets, parameters, statistics or other datasets.
EdgeQuery does not guarantee that user-supplied information is complete, correct, properly formatted, free from survivorship bias, free from look-ahead bias or otherwise suitable for the conclusions being requested.
Analytical results can be materially affected by inaccurate timestamps, incorrect contract specifications, missing trades, incorrect commissions or fees, erroneous prices, survivorship bias, look-ahead bias, data gaps, incorrect session definitions, contract rollover methodology, inadequate sample size, selection bias or other errors in the underlying data.
Garbage in can produce garbage out.
Users remain responsible for verifying the integrity and suitability of the data submitted for analysis.
4. Backtests, simulations and hypothetical results
Backtested, simulated, modeled, optimized, reconstructed or hypothetical trading results are not actual trading results unless EdgeQuery expressly identifies them as such. Historical and hypothetical performance has significant limitations. A strategy that performed well historically may perform substantially differently in future market conditions.
Historical simulations may fail to fully reflect factors encountered in actual trading, including slippage, commissions and exchange fees, bid/ask spreads, liquidity, partial fills, rejected orders, order queue position, latency, market impact, data-feed differences, contract rollover, trading halts, system failures, changing volatility, changing correlations, structural changes in markets and trader behavior.
Backtests may also benefit from hindsight, intentional or unintentional parameter selection, optimization, data mining and curve fitting.
No representation is made that any strategy, account, trader or customer will achieve profits, losses, drawdowns, risk-adjusted returns, win rates or other results similar to any result analyzed or displayed through EdgeQuery.
Past performance, backtested performance, simulated performance and hypothetical performance do not guarantee future results.
5. Statistical relationships are not guarantees
EdgeQuery may use statistical analysis, quantitative methods, machine learning, artificial intelligence, market-regime classification or proprietary research engines to identify relationships within trading data.
A statistical relationship does not necessarily establish causation and does not guarantee that the relationship will continue. Metrics such as probability, expectancy, profit factor, Sharpe ratio, drawdown, confidence, regime classification, feature importance, correlation or other analytical measurements are estimates derived from available data.
They should not be interpreted as probabilities of future profit or guarantees of a particular trading outcome. Market relationships can weaken, disappear, reverse or behave differently under conditions not adequately represented in historical data.
6. Artificial intelligence and automated analysis
EdgeQuery may use artificial intelligence and automated analytical systems to generate, summarize, explain or assist with research. AI-generated and automated outputs may contain errors, incomplete interpretations, incorrect assumptions or other inaccuracies.
Although EdgeQuery may use software and analytical safeguards intended to improve the quality of its research, no automated system can guarantee that every conclusion is correct. Users should independently verify material information before relying upon it.
An EdgeQuery IQ response should therefore be treated as a research assistant's analytical output, not as an authoritative statement of fact or an instruction to trade.
7. Trading involves substantial risk
Trading futures, options, securities, cryptocurrencies, leveraged products and other financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss. You may lose some or all of the capital committed to trading. Depending on the instrument, leverage, account structure and market conditions, losses may exceed the amount initially committed.
Trading is not suitable for everyone. You are solely responsible for determining whether trading, a particular strategy and the level of risk involved are appropriate for you.
Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Where appropriate, obtain advice from independently qualified financial, legal, accounting, tax or other professional advisers.
8. No guaranteed outcome
EdgeQuery analyzes evidence. It does not guarantee outcomes. A favorable EdgeQuery analysis does not mean a trading system will remain profitable. An unfavorable analysis does not mean a trading system cannot subsequently become profitable.
A strategy may perform differently because market conditions, volatility, liquidity, participants, correlations, regulations, technology, transaction costs and other factors change over time.
EdgeQuery does not warrant or guarantee profitability, future performance, reduced drawdowns, improved win rates, successful deployment, successful prop-firm qualification, successful live trading, preservation of capital or any other financial result.
9. Research suggestions and strategy modifications
EdgeQuery may identify potential filters, parameters, datasets, experiments, regime conditions, execution assumptions or other areas that could warrant additional testing. These suggestions are intended to help users conduct further research.
They are not recommendations that a modification should be deployed in live trading.
Any proposed change should be independently tested and validated using appropriate methodology, which may include out-of-sample testing, walk-forward testing, robustness testing, forward testing, paper trading and other validation techniques. Users are solely responsible for determining when or whether a strategy is suitable for live deployment.
10. Intelligence Partners and third parties
EdgeQuery may be offered through, integrated with or made available in cooperation with third-party Intelligence Partners, trading educators, software companies, research organizations, brokers, trading platforms or other businesses. Unless expressly stated otherwise, these businesses are independent parties.
A third party's statements, services, strategies, trading recommendations, performance claims or customer relationships are its own responsibility and should not be interpreted as statements or guarantees made by EdgeQuery.
Where an Intelligence Partner uses EdgeQuery technology as part of its own service, that partner remains responsible for its customer communications, representations, regulatory obligations and any financial or trading advice it independently provides.
Use of EdgeQuery technology does not constitute EdgeQuery's endorsement of any particular strategy, trading methodology, company, adviser, educator, broker or financial product.
11. Third-party platforms and data
EdgeQuery may receive information originating from third-party platforms, data providers, brokers, exchanges, trading software, spreadsheets, APIs or other external sources.
EdgeQuery does not control those third parties and cannot guarantee the accuracy, availability, completeness, timeliness or continued operation of their services or data. References to third-party company names, products, platforms, trademarks or services are for identification and interoperability purposes unless an affiliation is expressly stated.
12. Illustrations, demonstrations and examples
Charts, screenshots, case studies, sample reports, strategy analyses, performance statistics or other examples displayed by EdgeQuery may be provided to demonstrate the capabilities of the Service.
Unless expressly identified otherwise, such examples should not be interpreted as actual customer performance, typical results, expected results, investment recommendations or promises of future performance. Individual results will vary.
13. Your responsibility
You retain complete responsibility for all decisions made using information obtained through EdgeQuery. You are responsible for:
- deciding what strategies to research;
- determining whether supplied data is accurate;
- evaluating EdgeQuery's analysis;
- performing additional validation;
- selecting appropriate risk;
- determining whether to trade;
- selecting instruments and position sizes;
- complying with broker, exchange, prop-firm and regulatory requirements; and
- accepting the financial consequences of your decisions.
EdgeQuery is intended to expand the information available for your decision-making process—not replace your judgment.
14. No fiduciary or advisory relationship
Use of EdgeQuery does not, by itself, create a fiduciary, brokerage, investment-advisory, commodity-trading-advisory, portfolio-management, agency or other professional advisory relationship between you and EdgeQuery.
No such relationship should be inferred from an EdgeQuery IQ report, follow-up research discussion, email response, statistical analysis or other Service output.
15. Limitation of reliance
You should not make a live trading or investment decision solely because an EdgeQuery analysis, report, score, model, AI output or research observation appears favorable.
All financial decisions remain yours.
Your use of the Service and reliance on its outputs are subject to any additional terms, limitations and policies applicable to the Service.
